Intensive Moscow's Attacks Cut Electricity In Kyiv

Energy infrastructure under attack in the region
The country's power facilities have faced increased attacks in the past few days

Throughout the evening, Moscow's missile and drone strikes have resulted in blackouts in multiple districts of Ukraine's capital, Kyiv.

Several individuals were injured while inhabitants in eastern neighborhoods were plunged into darkness and encountered interruptions to water supplies, per reports from municipal leaders.

At the same time, a seven-year-old child was lost their life in a distinct Russian drone strike in the Zaporizhzhia area in the southern area, according to area administrators.

Moscow has increased strikes on power infrastructure over the past few days, while Ukrainian leadership has demanded "real steps" from international partners to increase pressure on Russia.

"The necessity is not superficial actions but strong steps - from the America, European nations and the major economies - in delivering defensive weapons and implementing restrictions," he wrote in a social media post.

Authorities reported that hundreds of unmanned aircraft and over thirty projectiles struck Ukraine's energy infrastructure, describing such attacks as "strategic and deliberate" and against "critical infrastructure" as the weather cools.

Energy officials said Russia was "conducting extensive attacks" and technical staff were laboring to repair systems.

A barrage of missiles hit energy infrastructure and apartment buildings in the capital.

Five out of the nine people hurt in the assaults on the capital have been transported for medical care, as confirmed by city authorities.

Area administrators said the urban area came under significant strikes during nighttime hours. A seven-year-old child died and three other people were hurt.

The attacks come after evenings of bombing campaigns in the region, parts of which remain under the control of Moscow's military.

The whole nation is on alert for hypersonic Kinzhal missile strikes, which are more difficult to identify.

Government officials told the media that Russia was purposely seeking to destroy the country's energy grid, with assaults already affecting energy systems.

Authorities confirmed utility staff and government agencies were anticipating additional strikes.
